Similar to other e-commerce platforms, to provide option (ex. check box) in store login page, so store users can give consent of receiving marketing materials (Email/SMS) during store registration. also making it available to marketing apps through API.
A lot of merchants would like to collect this info at time of registration so it will benefit them to target their customers by email and SMS campaigns safely with consent available.
