It would be great to allow app developers to access cart Id, and be able to fetch and add products to cart using the API. Abandoned cart api is different and not of much help in this case.
I think many developers would love to create apps that optimize a website by allowing the ability to add multiple products to cart at once like Shopify. Along with showing customers recommended products based on cart items. Many apps can only be created once we have more access to cart.
